2008 Great Escapade

2008 Great Escapade — You won't want to miss this one!
October–November E-scapade

Hi ,

Road from Oberon to PortlandIt's been a busy couple of months! Simon and Vincent have been exploring the Riding Route with the Police & RTA (the Roads Department in NSW) and they've made a few exciting changes to the Riding. I've written a Ride Diary — so you can get an idea of what to expect on your bike. The locals have been excited about the Ride, telling us what they're going to do to keep us entertained when we rock into town. Sam's released her Sensational Snooze Option and we've put pages and pages of information on www.greatescapade.com.au about the Transport Options that we've planned for the Ride.

We're off on the 2007 Great Victorian Bike Ride next week for a Week in another world from the Penguins at Phillip Island to the Caves of Buchan. We'll be getting everyone excited about signing up for the 2008 Great Escapade to join us in March & April for more bike riding fun.

Sign up today and you might just get in for one of the Limited Edition Great Escapade T-shirts.

Ride Diary — get excited about the awesome riding!

Whether it's the Downhill Zig Zag, Tablelands Meander or Across the Great Divide, there's a great riding day for everyone. Check out the Ride Diary and find out how it will feel zooming down the triple hairpin bends into Lithgow or over Owen's Gap into the Hunter on Day 8.

Great Escapade Transport Options — details out now!

We've had a go at the Transport Options that we think will help you get to and from the Great Escapade. We've created an Online Transport Suggestions Form. It'll be open until Friday 7 December, after which time we might put up a few more options. Have a look and let us know your thoughts.

We're off to Historic Gulgong

Simon and Vincent decided that the day from Mudgee to Cassilis should include a visit to the Historic Town of Gulgong, "where history lives". So we've updated the Riding Route so you can see even more of this awesome country from your bike.

Pylstone

Mouse Races in Rylstone

The folks in Rylstone are going to put on Mouse Races and Yabbie Races, the Cassilis Community will be all hands on deck for bush tea, damper and sheering exhibitions in the Old Wool Shed and Merriwa have the morning tea of the century planned for our big riding day. Mudgee will have winery and gourmet food tours, yum. Get excited — the locals are!

Happy riding!
