2008 Autumn in New South Wales - it's grape picking season!
Bicycle NSW and Bicycle Victoria have created a fantastic Ride through New South Wales in March-April 2008. We're cooking up the best bits of the past Escapades - mountains and valleys, coastline and rolling hills, cafes and wineries - this Escapade will have it all. There are so many great riding regions in New South Wales - it's been tricky to choose! We've looked at the Snowy and Blue Mountains, at Byron and Batemans Bay, at the Hawkesbury and the Hunter, even the Harbour Bridge - such great variety. We will tell you the exact region and dates in the May E-scapade, by which time we aim to have lodged and signed all the bits of paper with the state and local authorities. Then the fun begins!
Turn back in time
We have ridden past glaciers in New Zealand, over the hills of Tasmania, through the Karri forests of Western Australia ... and had many other adventures. Remember waking up to a crystal clear view down the Cradle Mountain valley, conquering the Crown Range and Haast Pass, soaking up the amazing view of Freycinet on the ride into Triabunna or taking a dip at Green's Pool on the way to Walpole? There have been some great times on recent Escapades, would you like to reminisce? We've got a drop of the region's local wine for the best photo or caption submitted for each region of our past few Escapades. The winners will be announced in the June E-scapade.
