How to get Part Way is Ok going at your school

Many students, particularly in some outer suburban and regional areas, live some distance from school. ‘Part way is OK’ is a means to ensure that these students can still have the opportunity to enjoy walking and riding to school.

Part Way is OK is a means to ensure that all students can have the opportunity to walk and ride to school. In partnership with the RACV, Ride2School piloted Part Way is OK in three local government areas across 14 schools.

Part Way is OK!

Jaclyn Smith and Lori Hubbard, Ride2School’s student interns from Deakin University, evaluated modes of transport to and from Hastings Primary School and found that most students would prefer to participate in active travel to and from school...so Part Way is in fact OK!
