Alex Sloan – 666 ABC Canberra Morning’s Presenter |
- 891 ABC Adelaide - Tim Noonan: Is the roving reporter for the Bald Brothers Breakfast program and the Morning Program of Matthew Abraham and David Bevan on 891 ABC Adelaide. During the heat wave that hit Adelaide in the week after the Tour Down Under Tim shared his water bottle with a thirsty koala that hailed him down.
- 936 ABC Hobart - Andy Muirhead: is a former biologist, who loves being a professional stand-up comic. It is a surprising combination of occupations, but his credentials prove he is well qualified in both. To top it all off Andy is also the host of the ABC TV show 'The Collectors.
- 720 ABC Perth - Bernadette Young: Bernadette is a keen bike rider and does the odd triathlon too! Bernadette started working for the ABC in 2000 when she snuck her way into radio and realised a dream, working for Triple J as a reporter and eventually as Breakfast newsreader. Since that time Bernadette has moved on to her best gig to date as presenter of the Afternoons program on 720 ABC Perth.
- ABC Brisbane - Phil Smith: RAAF Reservist and author, Phil Smith, finds the best stories from around Queensland for the State network programs. He's the author of the two successful military thrillers 'Shooting Script' and 'Tiger Stripe'.
- ABC Sydney - Graham Creed: has been cycling for 15 years and commuting as his main form of transport for just on a decade. His daily trek to work involves peddling the 16km to work and back via the Harbour Bridge. Apart from the health and training benefits Graham also mentions how commuting by bike has greatly improved his organisational skills. Being a commuter means you have to plan your day and over time those skills become a great benefit to other facets of your work and home life.
- 774 ABC Melbourne and ABC Victoria - Hilary Harper presents Saturday breakfast and mornings across Victoria on ABC Local Radio, covering everything from discussing everything from finance and property to irksome pets, food miles, DIY renovation, drought-proofing the garden and raising resilient children. She started out at 774 ABC Melbourne as morning traffic reporter, bringing cycling news and information to startled commuters, and occasionally breaking into bad haiku. She’s also worked as a news and current affairs journalist, entertainment reporter, editor and freelance writer, covering everything from Bollywood dancing to sustainability, cycling and film. She rides regularly, tries to visit a rail trail every now and again, and owns no lycra.
ABC Mildura Swan Hil - Nikolai Bailharz has been living in Mildura for two years. Living in a country town has all kinds of lifestyle advantages that I never would have thought of when living in the city – there’s more time to do things like cook, read and take in the beautiful landscape and what better way to do that than on a bike? Nikolai found a second hand bicycle in one of the op shops in Mildura for $24, and thought to himself ‘Gee, it would be good to get riding again.’ Since then he's been riding in to work on a semi-regular basis. Nikolai says "It’s a nice way to start the day, cruising along while it’s still dark, quiet and still. A calm start to what’s usually a pretty hectic day!"

666 ABC Canberra Morning’s Presenter- Alex Sloan At an early age Alex had to make the choice of being either a supermodel or radio journalist... as time progressed radio became not so much a choice as the only way ahead. She began her radio career as a rural reporter with the ABC in Tasmania where she quickly learnt to wear an engagement ring to sheep and cattle sales, before relocating to Canberra in 1995. Alex now presents the Morning program on 666 ABC Canberra and can be heard on the airwaves from 9 – 12 noon weekdays.
