• How much does it cost?
Because there are so many variables in insurance, Middleditch will prepare a quote tailored to you and your circumstances. • I use my bike for racing, and it’s hard to find insurance cover. Can CycleSafe Home™ cover me?
Because CycleSafe Home™ is designed especially for cyclists, you can apply for an optional racing extension. Contact Middleditch for more details.
• I sometimes take my camera away with me, and it was expensive. Will CycleSafe Home™ cover it as well?
Just like regular contents insurance, CycleSafe Home™ will cover cameras, ipods or MP3 players, DVDs and mobile phones, with no sub-limit, just like your bikes. Jewellery and watches are also covered up to an agreed limit. To go beyond this limit, you will need to specify your valuable items on the policy.
• My current contents policy covers my bike. Do I really need CycleSafe Home™?
Your current contents policy wasn’t designed with cyclists in mind, so it might not give you enough coverage. Run through our checklist with your current insurance, or just choose CycleSafe Home™. Bicycle Victoria has already asked the hard questions for you.
• The accessories on my bike are worth a lot. Will CycleSafe Home™ cover them?
Yes. CycleSafe Home™ covers your panniers, cycle computer and lighting system. Your bicycle clothing, your watch, glasses and other accessories are also covered subject to any excess that is applicable to your policy.
• I’ve splurged on an expensive new bike, but my current insurance policy limits my cover to only $1500. Can CycleSafe Home™ help?
Many Bicycle Victoria members use their bike as their main form of transport, so their bikes can be worth quite a bit. CycleSafe Home™ understands this, and provides coverage for the full value of your bike subject to your policy excess.
• Will CycleSafe Home™ cover me straight away?
