Active Travel starts with Shepparton Schools!
About this page
The Ride2School program, in partnership with the Greater Shepparton City Council, is running a fun and friendly competition for all Schools to increase the level of active and healthy students in Term Four.
Here's a great way to get all schools involved in your local region. Ride2School can assist in organising an 'Active Travel Challenge' with enthusiastic councils where the Hands Up results are utilised to offer a friendly competition between schools.
Currently, over 30 schools in the Greater Shepparton area are participating in an Active Travel Challenge program. The council has committed some great incentive prizes with Ride2School administering the challenge.
* A Grand Prize Draw of 30 casual swim passes at Aquamoves and two hours court hire at Shepparton Sports Stadium - involving all schools who enter. A winner will be announced early December.
* Monthly prize for Highest Percentage of Active Travel – the school with the most fabulous monthly HandsUp! results will win a sports store voucher (valued at $70).
* Monthly prize draws for Participation - schools automatically goes into the draw for prizes including a Ride2School and Go for your life Showbag, full of goodies including drink bottles, stickers, and hats.
Schools can allocate all prizes as they wish, and may like to award incentives to students who are active, display leadership or promote active travel. And, as well as this, schools are still eligible for the fantastic monthly Ride2School prizes, including the Malvern Star Bike and Malvern Prize Packs.
