Active Travel Booms with Council Support

A partnership between City of Greater Bendigo Council and Ride2School shows that Greater Active Travel results are in the bag!
Due to City of Greater Bendigo Active Travel Prize awards the number of schools with active travellers has doubled! This means more children walking, riding and scooting more often.
October's winner is
Most improved over 3 months is Holy Rosary Primary Sschool with a 10.29% rise between August and September and 12.54% rise September to October.
The random draw winner from schools that entered their HandsUp! data every month is Big Hill Primary School.
The first 2 month's winner was Maple St Primary School with a wonderful 60.3% and 50% Active Travel for August and September respectively.

Bendigo Primary Schools that get their HandsUp! data in during August, September, November and have the most active travel that month, win a Voucher from a sports store courtesy of City of
If schools do the same every month for those 3 months and is the school showing the most improved active travel for this time, they win a Grand Prize of family pass entry into all council pools. Schools are free to decide how they allocate their prizes.
There is also a 2nd Family random prize offered to a school drawn from all entries during those 3 months. Therefore if your school enters its results in for the 3 months it has 3 chances of winning and two chances of winning a Grand Prize.
So thats 1 monthly prize over the 3 months for most active travel percentage and two end of the term prizes - one random and one for the most improved active travel overall.
All these prizes are extra to the ones already available by entering your HandsUp! results.
