2007 event breaks records - full report now published

 

It's been dubbed "Australia's biggest ever cycling event", the "largest active transport event" and a "new favourite on the annual workplace calendar."

Peter Garrett launches National Ride to Work Day

Peter Garrett joined the growing numbers taking to their bikes as he launched National Ride to Work Day 2008.

 

Bike commuting has increased by 23% nationally over the last five years.  With cars presently contributing to 54% of Australians transport emissions, bike commuting is critical in reducing carbon emissions.

Another reason to ride to work!

Encourage your friends, team mates and colleagues to ride to work on  National Ride to Work Day and donate the amount they save on car parking, petrol or public transport to Baker IDI.

 

Your donations will provide essential funds for Baker IDI's research into diabetes, heart disease and obesity.

A proportion will also be used to further develop the National Ride to Work Day Program.
