Pedal away from the everyday
Explore the Capricorn Coast, Callide Valley and North Burnett with their welcoming locals and rural townships full of character. Ride on quiet country roads under blue skies on warm sunny days.
Why do it? For some it's a challenge, for others it's an adventure but for many it's simple - 9 days, 570km, 1500 friends.
Don't worry about cooking meals, transporting luggage or navigating from town to town because all your needs are taken care of by our support crew. Each day we dish up three delicious cyclist-sized meals and provide hot showers, entertainment, a place to relax, and much more. Cycle Queensland is all about having a good time - after all, you're on holidays.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride
Cycle Queensland is all about having fun - both on and off your bike. You don't need to worry about cooking meals, transporting luggage or navigating your way around a map. All your needs are taken care off.
The event is designed to let you have fun and enjoy your cycling. Our tent city has first aid, mechanics, bike shops, masseurs, a general store, tourist information, licensed café, toilets and hot showers. We serve up three generous meals a day and transport your luggage. All you have to do after a day on the bike is collect your bags and put up your tent. In the afternoons and evenings there is plenty to do and see: take a tour, party-on at the local inn or just chill out at the picturesque campsites.
Getting there and back
From Melbourne, fly into Rockhampton Airport and jump on our charter bus service or one of any number of commercial services that run regularly to Yeppoon, just 40km away from Rockhampton. And transporting your bike is easy – as this year we’ve extended our popular depot-to-depot bike transport service to Melbourne. Drop your BQ boxed bike to our depot and we’ll transport it to Yeppoon in time for the start of the ride. And then you can do it in reverse to get your bike home. We have a North Melbourne depot and are aiming to have one in the south-east. There’s also a carpark available in Bundaberg if you want to combine your cycling trip with a driving tour. For more info go to www.bq.org.au and download the Bike Transport and Getting there and home again info sheet.
