Remember to pay the balance of your Rider Entry

G'day Rider,

what fantastic weather to be out and about on your bike! With less than 7 weeks to go until the Great Vic, we're really gearing up in here. There is a buzz in the office with National Ride to Work Day on Wednesday 15 October, the Melbourne Cycling Festival starting on Friday 17 October and Aviva Investors Around the Bay in a Day on Sunday 19 October. A feast of cycling!

In the last week or so, you will have received your 2008 Great Vic Preparation DVD and a letter with the Confirmation of your Ride Entry Options. Remember to take some time to watch the DVD as it is jam packed with great information about the Ride. Also, please check that your Ride Entry Options are correct and make any changes by logging in to Blink.

Most of all, we wanted to remind some of you that the Balance of Rider Entries are due by 5.00pm on Friday 17 October.

Have a read through the information below to make sure you have completed your Great VIc Registration so that we can send you a Rider Information Kit.

Paid your Rider Entry in full?

Thanks heaps to those of you who have paid the Balance of your Rider Entry already. Sit back and relax, we will be preparing your Rider Information Kit over the next couple of weeks and sending it to you. Your Rider Kit will have in it:

Please take super special care of the items in your Rider Information Kit, as there will be a cost to replace any of the items.

The next Gearing Up will be on Friday 7 November. You should have received your Rider Information Kit by then. 

Haven't paid the Balance of your Rider Entry?

Please make sure you pay the Balance of your Rider Entry before 5.00pm on Friday 17 October. Here is how to do it:

1. Log in to Blink through the Great Vic Homepage. You will need your Rider ID and your email address or date of birth to log in.

2. Pay the Balance of your Rider Entry

3. All done! We will send you your Rider Information Kit in the next few weeks.

What if you don't pay the Balance of your Rider Entry by 5.00pm Friday?

If you don't pay the Balance of your Rider Entry by 5.00pm Friday, your Great Vic Rider Entry will be cancelled and your $200 non-refundable deposit will no longer be available to you.

Schools - payment goes to your Organising Teacher

If you have registered for the 2008 Great Vic as part of a School Group, you are not able to pay the Balance of your Rider Entry through Blink. You will need to pay your Organising Teacher who will then forward the payment to the Great Vic Team. 

Merchandise, Transport Options and Special Meals

Remember that Ride Entries close on Friday 14 November. This means that all Ride Options, including the Merchandise (Ride Jersey, Polo and Cap), all Transport Options and Special Meals will close on 14 November. There will be no chance to change or add to your Ride Entry after this date. Don't miss out. Log in to Blink to add options to your Ride Entry.

Terms & Conditions of Entry

If a friend or family member registered for you on the Great Vic, they will have accepted the Terms & Conditions of Entry on your behalf. We require each Ride Participant to accept the Terms and Conditions of Entry before they are registered on the Ride.

If you have not accepted the Terms & Conditions of Entry, we will email you to ask you to read the Great Vic Terms & Conditions of Entry, then log in to Blink and acknowledge that you accept them. 

Win a Great Vic jersey!

Bicycle Victoria Members, log in to Blink and choose your Favourite Bike Shop. You can select up to three Bike Shops, choose to receive information about these shops from Bicycle Victoria and even choose a super favourite. This information will help us build better relationships between you and bike shops. Great Vic Riders who are also Members are encouraged to select a Bike Shop (or three) on Blink before Friday 21 November to go in the draw to win a Great Vic Jersey.

Thinking of cancelling?

If you no longer want to come on the Great Vic, please note that the final day for cancellation of entries is Wednesday 29 October 2008. This is the last chance to receive a refund for a cancellation, which would be the total cost of your Ride Entry less the $200 non-refundable deposit. Please refer to the 2008 Great Vic Terms & Conditions of Entry for more information.

Do you live overseas?

If you do not live in Australia, we will still send you a Rider Information Kit to your international postal address. However, we will remove your Ride Passport, Bike Tag and Bag Tags (just in case it does not get to you in time). These items will be available for your collection at the start of the Ride in Ballarat from the Bicycle Victoria Sales Tent.
