What to Bring & Bike & Bag Tags
About this page
Find out about Great Vic Luggage and what to put in your bags
How many bags will you bring?
There are two options — 1 bag up to 20kg or 2 bags up to 10kg each. We've increased the luggage options for you. Either put both of your Bag Tags on one 20kg bag or put one on each of two 10kg bags. Travelling to and from the Ride with one smaller bag inside a larger bag is a good option.
One bag or two?
If you prefer to bring one bag, please attach both of your Bag Tags on your one bag.
If you choose to bring two bags, each should weigh less than 10kg. If this is your preference, stick one Bag Tag on each bag.
Simple really – one Bag Tag entitles you to up to 10kg of luggage.
Luggage Trucks
During the Ride, those who arrive at the Campsite first generally help to unload the bags. Please remember if you offer to help with this task, that we ask you to keep helping until all bags are unloaded from the Luggage Truck. If you spot your bag, please put it aside until the truck is empty.
On Friday 28 November, the Luggage Team will be outside the Happy Helpers Tent in Ballarat so that you can test the weight of your bags. On Saturday 29 November, the Luggage Trucks will be open from 8.00am to 12.00 noon. All bags will be weighed. Remember to secure your Bag Tags on and consider putting a bright ribbon onto your bag/s to help you find them each day.
Bike Tags
Remember to attach your Bike Tag to your Bike before you leave for the Ride. We think it's best to attach your Bike Tag to the back of your bike, under your seat. Please use the Cable Ties that we included in your Ride Information Kit. There will be spare Cable Ties available at the Happy Helpers Tent.
