3. Rider Kit Information

Please find important information regarding Rider Kit Mail Out and 50km Rider Kit Collection.

From Monday 14 September 2009, the Rider Kit mailout commences. You should receive your rider kit within 4 weeks of this date.

80km, 100km, 210km and 250km riders will be mailed out a Rider Kit containing:

  • Ride Guide - important information on the day, eg. Start/Finish location, rest area locations, parking availability and lots more. (Download low res PDF 2009 copy - 4MB)
  • Bib Numbers – you ticket to the ride – you must have this with you on the ride day to collect your lunch and to board the ferry. This is what the bibs will look like this year.
  • Event Jersey - To those that registered prior to the early incentive cut off date (15 June 2009, 50km riders not eligible).
  • Promotional items - from our sponsors.

If you do not received your rider kit, have you checked at your local post office? Otherwise, you (or someone on your behalf) will need to bring confirmation of entry to Alexandra Gardens during the 50km registration pick up times at Alexandra Gardens (see below). Here you will be able to collect a replacement rider kit.

If you wish to transfer, upgrade, or downgrade your registration, it is possible to do this by visiting the 50km registration marquee at Alexandra Gardens (see below times). Please bring your rider kit during these times in order to request and process a change to your registration. This will incur an additional $20 admin fee.

100km Riders that do not recieve rider kit & are not able to get to the 50km registration, the last coach leaving St. Kilda to transport riders to Sorrento will carry the remaining unclaimed 100km Rider Identification Bibs. They will be distributed at the Sorrento 100km Start Site as soon as they arrive. However, although we plan for a prompt arrival, there are many factors that may affect the time it takes for the last bus to arrive in Sorrento. As you must wear your Rider Identification Bibs, this could mean that your start time could be delayed.

50km Riders*:  Your confirmation letter will be sent in the mail from Monday 7 September 2009. Please bring this letter with you in order to get your Kit and free event t-shirt at;

  • 12midday - 7pm Friday 16 October from Engineers Lawn at Alexandra Gardens (near the Corporate Bar)
  • 10am - 2pm Saturday 17 October from Engineers Lawn at Alexandra Gardens (near the Corporate Bar)
  • 3.30am - 8am Sunday 18 October from Palms Lawn at Alexandra Gardens (near Skate Park)
  • If you cannot get to the collection times listed above, you are welcome to arrange for someone else (provided they show your confirmation letter) to come and collect your rider kit for you instead.

If you do not receive your confirmation letter, you can bring a copy of your confirmation of registration payment.

  • If you have no proof of registration, you will be able to sign up on the day but it will be an additional $20 late entry fee (cash only please, and rider kit showbags will be subject to availablity).
