We’re pleased to have Diabetes Australia – Vic back as the
proud charity partner of Ride. As the peak consumer body and leading charity representing all people affected by diabetes and those at risk, Diabetes Australia – Vic needs your help to raise much needed funds for diabetes education and research. Cycling Grand Prix in Ballarat – you’re invited

Would you like to have a look around Ballarat before you embark on the Great Vic? The Ballarat Australian Cycling Grand Prix is on this 15th - 17th August and promises to be as exciting as ever. The Saturday racing kicks off in the main street of Ballarat along an expanded cafe precinct. Grab your bike and come to Ballarat. More information can be found at http://www.visitballarat.com.au

Members receive Travel Insurance

and Souvenir Sports Towel

Bicycle Victoria Members on the Great Vic will receive personal injury and 3rd party personal and property cover as standard to their Membership. This means you are covered anytime you are riding, anywhere in Australia, be it for training, leisure or on the Ride. You will also receive additional Travel Insurance for loss of deposits (if you have to cancel going on the Ride*) as well as cover for your property for theft, loss and damage (whilst not in use).

As well as Insurance, every Bicycle Victoria Member will receive a compressed sports towel on

the Ride as a souvenir. You may use this as your towel on the Ride, but be warned you will have to wash it first! (and dry!). So if you see someone with the same towel as you, no they didn't steal yours, they are another member, so say hello!

Bicycle Victoria's Over 50s Riding Program is now up and running. If you are over 50 and thinking of taking up or resuming bike riding, then this is the program for you. Learn more about the Over 50s riding program, taking registrations now.

Volunteers

Our Volunteers have been signing up to ensure your time on the Ride is fabulous. Over 300 Volunteers have applied to join in the fun - but we still need more. So maybe you have a friend that doesn’t want to ride but would like to come along and enjoy the good times? You may also like to consider being a Riding Volunteer.
