Bicycle Victoria Transport Options
Information on this page is for those doing the 9-day Great Escapade. If you are doing the 2-day Busselton Breakaway, please refer to the Busselton Breakway transport page.
All Transport Options will be available to purchase with your Ride Entry or can be added at a later date through Blink. All options for the Ride will need to be purchased by 13 March 2009.
The following is for bike transport only from the Eastern States. We strongly encourage people coming from the east to take this offer as airline services are not equipped to handle large amount of bikes on planes.
You will be required to get your bike to the location by the specified date and time.

Questions and Answers
How will my bike travel to and from Margaret River?
Your bike will travel in containers on trucks and trains.
Why do you need my bike so early?
Because we are sending your bike across to WA by train, this is the latest date we can get your bike to match th train timetable and ensure it gets to Margaret River in time for the Ride.
Do I need to box my bike?
Yes you do. You have to box your bike for travel and we also recommend protecting your bike further by using bubblewrap and fork spaces.
What if I can't make those times to drop my bike off?
We suggest you get a family member or friend to drop your bike off at the specified times for you.
What if I can't pick my bike up at those times?
We will hold your bike until the end of April, after this time we will organise a courier to deliver your bike to you at your own cost.
