All transport options are now closed for purchase.
There are transport options to get you and your bike to the Start of the Grampians Explorer in Halls Gap and home from the Finish of the Ride in Ballarat.
To the Start in Halls Gap on Thursday 4 December
From Melbourne and Ballarat only. Prices include Rider & Bike.

The Melbourne Coach is expected to arrive in Halls Gap at around 1.00pm.
The Ballarat Coach is expected to arrive in Halls Gap at around 2.00pm. There will not be a stop along the way, so please have a toilet & snack break before boarding the coach.
If you have purchased a ticket from V/Line to travel from Melbourne to Ballarat on Thursday 4 December, please note that your bike can not travel on the V/Line Train. Your bike must be loaded on the Bicycle Victoria Bike Truck by 8.00am on Thursday 4 December at the Southern Cross Station Coach Terminal.
From the Finish in Ballarat on Sunday 7 December
We can take you and your bike from Ballarat to Melbourne Geelong, Traralgon, Bendigo and Wangaratta after the Ride.

Ballarat Long Term Car Park

Please note that the Ballarat Long Term Car Park has a 3 metre high fence around it with barbed wire at the top and gates of the same size. The Car Park will be locked. We recommend that you do not leave any valuables in your Car.

Where is it?
The Ballarat Long Term Car Park will be in Wiltshire Lane, Ballarat. It has a limited capacity, so it is likely to sell out.
How do I get there?
Everyone who books the Ballarat Long Term Car Park will be provided with an Information Sheet and Map closer to the Ride. Available on this page shortly, please register for Email me Updates.
What does it include?
A Ballarat Long Term Car Park + Car Booking includes 1 car space and a coach for 1 person to the Start of the Ride in Halls Gap and a shuttle from the Finish of the Ride at North Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Ballarat.
The price includes:
- 1 Car Park for duration of the Ride
- A Coach for one person, a bike and one set of luggage to the Start of the Ride at Halls Gap on Thursday 4 December.
- Shuttle bus for one person, a bike and one set of luggage back to the Ballarat Long Term Car Park from the Finish at Lake Wendouree on Sunday 7 December.
When is it open?
You can access the Ballarat Long Term Car Park for the Grampians Explorer Transport, you will need to be at the Ballarat Long Term Car park between 12.00pm and 12.30pm on Thursday 4 December 2008.
On Sunday 7 December, the Shuttle Bus will be running from the Finish Site at Lake Wendouree until 2.00pm.
You will need to drop off and collect your car during these times. The Car Park will not be open at other times.
Car pooling - what do we do if there is more than one person in one car?
The cost of the Ballarat Long Term Car Park + Car is to cover one person and one car.
If you are car pooling to Ballarat (which we would recommend), your car passengers should purchase the Ballarat Long Term Car Park Transport to Halls Gap ($45.00). They do not need to purchase the $75.00 Ballarat Long Term Car Park + Car Transport Option (that is for the Driver + Car only).
Can I get dropped off in town?
Not by the Ballarat Long Term Car Park Shuttle Bus. The Shuttle Bus will only be travelling between the Car Park and the Finish Site at Lake Wendouree. It will not be dropping off in town.
Transport Options
These are the only transport options that will be provided by Bicycle Victoria. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate each individual needs. It is only feasible for us to provide transport for the bulk of participants.
