Day 7 - Nannup

About this page

In the heart of the forest

Come and relax in tranquil Nannup, listening to the birds and the sound of the Blackwood River flowing in its course through the town. Nannup, in the heart of the beautiful South-West of Western Australia has been described as ‘one of the most unspoiled towns’ in the region. Once a wood-milling town and with a working mill to the present day, the buildings hark back to historic times.

With a tiny population, it still manages to provide excellent opportunities for food and wine tasting with delicious cappuccinos, a winery and cheese factories. For the more active, a cycling trail, mythic mazes, canoeing, fishing and walk trails beckon. A variety of accommodation is available in beautiful bush and river settings from rustic to deluxe. For those who want to relax, the deep tranquillity of the forest setting and gently flowing Blackwood River produce their magic on the soul.
