Tri Nation Honour Roll

No. 1

Congratulations to Melbourne’s Nicole Henschel and her riding partner Paul Atkinson, for becoming the inaugural equal-first riders to have completed the Tri Nations Challenge.

Nicole and Paul commenced their ambitious series of achievements by completing a very memorable Cape Argus Challenge in South Africa during March 2009.

Both participated in Around the Bay in a Day, October 2009. Making the achievement two out of the three events necessary, to achieve the all-elusive completion of the Tri-Nations Challenge.

The pair have recently returned from the last of the Tri Nations events at New Zealand’s beautiful Lake Taupo. They conquered the 160km Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge during the last weekend of November, 2009.

After cycling past the finish line, Nicole commented; “What a tough ride! I am so glad to have achieved my goal…the Tri Nations Challenge. Now it’s time for a soak in the tub and celebrations with my friends!”

Nicole is looking forward to setting her sights towards participating within a string of organised rides in 2010 and keeping fit whilst having fun in the saddle.
