Your Swanston Street
We have begun to contact riders in Swanston Street to prepare
for the new Melbourne City Council. There is a chance that Robert Doyle or Nick Columb will be elected Mayor. They have said they want to reintroduce private motor vehicles to Swanston Street. Other candidates have been positive about bikes but not necessarily strong on developing Swanston Street. Whatever the result we may need to take action. See the full story here.
Ride2School October numbers skyrocket!
Check out the fantastic Hands Up! results in October's Active Travel Snapshot. Results rival National Ride2School Day's held in March this year!
Schools and students enthusiatically participated in National Ride to Work Day, Walk-tober's Walk to School Day, and in walking and riding to school in general.
"It takes 20 times to become a habit," says Principal Helen Zull, from October's Star Active School Coburg North Primary. Download the Frequent Rider Passports - they help make walking and riding to school an active habit!
The Bicycle Parking Experts
Bicycle Victoria are the leaders in facility design, rail supply and installation.
Over the past ten years we have gained expert knowledge while producing bike parking solutions for new and existing buildings.
Bicycle Victoria can do as much, or as little, of the project as you need – from providing information to a comprehensive parking solution.
