Find out about the Volunteer Application process for the 2009 Great Escapade
We are expecting around 200 Volunteers to join the 2009 Great Escapade Volunteer Team, depending on Rider registrataions. Recent Rides have had waiting lists for Volunteers, so don't miss out, apply today!
If you're interested in coming along with us please keep read the following.
- Read the Volunteer Team Descriptions and choose three Team preferences.
- Read what others thought of Volunteering on the 'A day in the life of' page
- Choose which of the three options you are interested in applying for.
- Make sure that you are available for the specified dates in March - April 2009.
- Read the 2000 Great Escapade Conditions of Entry and Ride Volunteer Insurance documents
Here is a summary of the Volunteer Application process for the 2009 Great Escapade:
1. Submit a Volunteer Application
Volunteers should apply when applications open in September 08 via this website.
2.Confirmation of receipt from the Great Escapade Team
Volunteers will be notified by email that we have recieved your application. We may discuss with you the teams available and jobs required within those teams.
3.Confirmation of acceptance as a Volunteer
If you are accepted into a Volunteer Team, you will receive an email after 31 October to confirm whether or not you have been accepted into the Volunteer Team. Closer to the Ride, you will be mailed the Volunteer Welcome Pack. This pack provides you with information regarding the 2009 Great Escapade and your team.
You will be able to keep up-to-date with your application via myVolunteerpage.com.
