Volunteers are the Backbone of the Great Escapade
Volunteers will make the 2009 Great Escapade happen! There will be between 200 and 300 Volunteers, depending on the number of Riders who register. Everyone’s help is needed to get the word out about the opportunity to volunteer on the 2009 Great Escapade - it's going to be fun!

Volunteering on the 2009 Great Escapade is a fantastic way to experience a different life. It is about meeting lots of people and learning new skills in a nurturing, social and challenging environment. The Ride is made up of many small dedicated teams of Volunteers who work together to achieve an amazing result.
Riders are encouraged to help Bicycle Victoria actively recruit Volunteers and help the Volunteers during the Ride. Volunteers receive endless praise and thanks during and after the Ride and they deserve it.
Benefits for Volunteers who apply before 31 October 2008
Live Easy Tent Bonus
Volunteers who registered for the 2009 Great Escapade before 31 October 2008 will be offered the Volunteer Live Easy Tent to share. This means that the 2008 Great Escapade Team will provide a 2 person dome tent for these Volunteers to share with another Volunteer - and it will be put up and taken down. If Volunteers were nominated by a registered Rider, they are able to share the tent with that Rider in the Volunteer Camping area.
Volunteer Uniform
Check out the Great Escapade Volunteer Uniform - Long Sleeved T-shirts, a hat, water bottle and bum-bag to carry all of your goodies!
