Around the Bay in a Day

 

Around the Bay in a Day® enables all bike riders to participate in Australia's largest single day bike ride and meet the challenge of riding around Port Phillip Bay. Now in its 17th year, we are gearing up for a great ride on Sunday 18 October 2009.

Riders, you have the opportunity to go the extra mile and raise money for official charity partner The Smith Family. Last year, riders raised over $400,000 for The Smith Family.

At the conclusion of the ride, thousands of riders enter the fantastic Alexandra Gardens start/finish site where live music, entertainment, roving entertainers, corporate hospitality, food and beverage facilities, and sponsor displays and giveaways provide a fantastic end to a great ride.

The Around the Bay in a Day® and GO Bike Expo® - Sponsored by Honan Insurance Brokers, and National Ride to Work Day will again be the cornerstones of the Melbourne Cycling Festival in 2009, with Victoria’s three iconic cycling events coming together to create a major week of cycling-centric activity in Melbourne.

Wed 2 July	Become a Member of Bicycle Victoria while registering for Around the Bay!  You can now purchase a new membership to Bicycle Victoria  It's easy to do, purchase membership as you register or if you have already signed up, you can purchase a Membership in the Merchandise section of the registration site.  At only $105 for individuals and $135 for a family of 3 or more it is fantastic value...
