Bike Ed Training
Bike Ed is a bicycle skills and road safety education course. Schools request for Ride2School volunteers to assist with Bike Ed.
To help assist schools with Bike Ed, Ride2School uses Wilcare Services to train volunteers as instructors or assistants in the accredited Bike Ed program. Wilcare Services is currently contracted to the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development as the major and preferred provider of bicycle instructor accreditation for school based cycling programs.
The training is based on the Bike Ed resource designed for primary schools with an extension module for secondary school programs. Wilcare offers a 2-day instructor or assistant course that is valid for 5 years.
View upcoming course dates and contact Ride2School to help us assist more school students to ride skillfully, safely and independently on the road.
Video Clips to help sharpen riding skills
