RiderLog allows you to track your rides, show your bike routes to others and provide in depth data
History
In History the phone tracks your cumulative distance and time over the week and month so you know how your training is going or whether you have hit your physical activity targets.
The National Physical Activity Guidelines say that you need to put together at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity on most, preferably all, days. You can accumulate your 30 minutes (or more) throughout the day by combining a few shorter sessions of activity of around 10 to 15 minutes each.
RiderLog shows you whether you are on target to accumulate 31/2 hours in the week and 16 hours in the month.
You may want to track kms as you train for an event. RiderLog allows you to watch the kms as they accumulate.
Each activity for the month is stored and you can return to it to see your average speed, time, the map and other details.
Settings
Settings allows you to provide other details that make the data even more valuable to governments. The default setting is anonymous.
You can include the year of your birth and gender. This helps us see whether popular routes are only popular with young men for example. Often bike routes have to more fully separated from traffic to attract women riders. This data would show that work needed to be done on a particular route to even up the gender balance.
We have put in home postcode and work postcode. This somewhat generalised origin/destination data is helpful when planning bike networks. Sometimes there might be a 'hole' in the bike network between where you live and where you want to go. This data will help us find the missing pieces of your network.
Email is there if you want to get to know us and there is a space for your rider number if you are one of the hundreds of thousands of riders who already have a relationship with us. These fields allow us to get in touch with you. We won't ever pass your email onto governments.
