Victorian Partners

Thank you to our Victorian partners RACV, EPA and VicRoads

RACV has been a proud partner of Ride to Work Day since 1998, including the Bike Assist Cycle Angels. RACV is part of the Ambassador Program for Ride to Work Day and advocates for improved transport services for all members, including cyclists. RACV advocates for enhanced facilities for cyclists by representing its members on a number of technical and planning bodies such as the Victorian Bicycle Advisory Council.

EPA Victoria has supported Ride to Work Day since 1998. As the organisation responsible for monitoring air quality in Victoria we encourage the efforts of those choosing environmentally friendly transport alternatives to reduce their emissions.

EPA’s purpose is to ‘protect, care for and improve our environment’ and our vision is the ‘Victorian community living sustainably’. Ride to Work Day is a perfect example of how simple it can be to play a part in improving our environment and make a difference. By supporting this event we recognise those who are making a commitment to sustainable transport and a healthy environment.

Cycling is a great means of transport for people of all ages, genders and fitness levels.

In recent years Victoria has seen a huge growth in its popularity and the State Government and VicRoads are committed to seeing it continue.

VicRoads has had a long relationship with Bicycle Network Victoria, and is once again proud to support Ride to Work Day.

With an additional $4 million dollars being spent every year, for the next several years, VicRoads will deliver new and improved cycling infrastructure, making your journey to work smoother, safer and better for our environment.

Remember, when you’re riding, please obey the road rules and ride safely.

The City of Melbourne has supported Ride to Work Day since 1998. We encourage more people to ride their bikes in and around our fabulous city. Cycling is a healthy, affordable, clean and green way to enjoy our city and all it has to offer.

The City of Melbourne is working hard to make cycling easier, safer and more attractive. We’re continually improving the city’s cycling network, including its bike lanes, paths and parking. Take a look at the latest City of Melbourne Bicycle Account for an update on our progress.

See you at the Ride to Work Day breakfast at Federation Square and happy cycling!

Ride to Work Day CBD Breakfast Partners

Official supplier of Ride to Work Day CBD breakfasts

Bakers Delight are providing healthy, freshly baked breakfast to thousands of participants attending the official CBD breakfast in Federation Square, Melbourne on October 13.

 Australian Bananas

Delicious Australian bananas will be supplied at every CBD breakfast across Australia.

Bananas are the perfect energy snack for people on the go.

Not only do they come in a handy natural wrapper, they are packed with carbs to keep muscles pumping. In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more efficient muscle fuel. That’s why you often see top sports people (and cyclists) munching on a banana.

Bananas also have loads of nutritious vitamins and minerals like potassium, which helps keep your blood pressure at normal levels, and vitamin B6 to keep your nervous system healthy as well.

And best of all, bananas have absolutely no fat or cholesterol. Which means you can keep your tummy full on your ride without adding any extra saddle bags!

So don’t forget to pick up an Australian banana and make your bike ride sing!
