Changing your riding world since 1975
Since Bicycle Network Victoria was founded in 1975 we have continued to campaign for better riding facilities for all riders throughout Victoria. Although you may not directly benefit from each project, there are many other projects that you will benefit from.
Following on from the visual milestones (1975 - 2008) the following has been achieved:
2010
- Albert Street 'Copenhagen lanes'
- Gipps Street Steps project approved
- No Stopping Zones on Beach Road
2009
- We reach 45,000 members
- Darebin Bridge project is approved
- We are heavily involved in crafting the Victorian Cycling Strategy
2008
- The first Parkiteer cage opens
