The Melbourne Vixens take on the RACV Great Vic!
The Melbourne Vixens, Melbourne's championship netball team, have swapped the court for a bike and will be joining us on the RACV Great Vic 2011!
The Vixens are Riding!
The Vixens have no problem running circles around their opponents on the court but how will they fare riding and camping around Victoria?
Vixens Chelsey Tregear, Tegan Caldwell and Kara Richards are swapping balls for bikes and participating in the 200 km Mighty Murray Ride on Saturday 26 November 2011 as part of their pre season training.
Players will start the three day journey in Swan Hill, ride to Kerang and finish in Barham – camping with the tour group each night. At the end of each day, the Vixens will host the ‘RACVixens recovery site’ where they will guide other riders through stretching sessions and provide recovery tips. The start of the ride coincides with that of the renowned RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride, a nine day event.
