School's Challenge

Students and staff can enter this special category as part of the Bupa Around the Bay

Ride Options

50km school challenge

100km school challenge

Here's some info on how to enter

You are eligible to enter the School Challenge if you are a student aged between 12 and 18 years old.

If you are aged under 15 years (on the day of event), you must ride the 50km option and you will need a team manager to register in order to supervise your team during the ride – ie. someone who is over 18 (a parent or relative, family friend, teacher). Supervisers are not required for each rider in the team.

Riders aged between 15 (on the day of event) and 18 years do not need a supervising rider, but will require a parent consent approval as part of the registration process.

Team Registration

The 50km and 100km School Challenge costs $60. The Team Manager and other supervising riders (if required for larger teams) also pay $60, and must be over 18 years.

The Team Manager registers and clicks on New School Challenge - Registration Form. Use step-by-step guide for assistance.

1. Select type of team – School Challenge Team.

2. Fill in Manager’s details

3. The Team Manager then receives via email a Team Code and Team Registration URL link in which to advertise to the school and invite riders to join the team.

4. Once the team is set up, riders can start a New Rider Registration Form and then type in the team code (if Team Registration URL link used, this will be pre-filled) at the beginning and continue to complete their registration.

Independent Riders

If you are under 15 years of age and not a member of a team, and will be riding only with your supervisor, your supervisor still needs to enter as a School Team Manager and click on New School Challenge - Registration Form.

Riders under 15 years cannot enter the 80km through the New Rider Registration form as an individual, unless you have a team code, which your team manager will get once registered.
