If you live outside of Western Australia and want to join us for The West Australian Great WA Bike Ride 2011, sign up early and we'll make your life easier by transporting your bike to and from Western Australia for you!
A summary of the transport option
We will transport your bike from every capital city outside of Western Australia to Manjimup for the start of the Ride and then bring it back after the Ride is finished. Below are the timelines for dropping off your bike, dates around the ride and collecting your bike after the event.
Drop off date/s and times
Sunday 6 March (10:00am - 3:00pm) and Wednesday 9 March (3:00 - 8:00pm*)
*Sydney is 3:00 - 7:00pm due to lack of lighting
On Event Collection & Returns
Collection - Friday 18 March (9:00am to 4:00pm) and Saturday 19 March (8:00 - 11:00am). Return - Sunday 27 March (before 1:00pm)
Bike pick up date/s
Wednesday 6 April (3:00 - 8:00pm*) and Sunday 10 April (10:00am - 3:00pm)
*Sydney is 3:00 - 7:00pm due to lack of lighting
It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the timelines listed above to ensure that your bike is transported on time to Manjimup for the start of the Ride. Although reasonable care will be taken with you bike at all stages during the transport, please not that the Bicycle Network will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage. We recommend that you investigate and take out the appropriate travel insurance.
Bike Packaging options
Your bike must be boxed for transport and there are several options available for packaging your bike for transport. We will provide every rider who has interstate bike transport with a Bicycle Network Victoria cardboard bike box which can be collected from the drop off / pick up location. You can provide your own bike box, however we would prefer you to use a Bicycle Network Victoria box for ease of handling.

We will store your bike box in Manjimup during the Ride. This bike box storage is included in your transport option. If you have a bike box for us to store and you did not use our Interstate Bike Transport option, we can store your box for $10.00. This fee can be paid in Manjimup to our Information team volunteers.
