South East: Linking Eumemmerring Creek Path to Dandenong

These two existing paths need to be linked to take advantage of the local extensive network and into the Dandenong Central Activity Centre

Transport and recreation link needs to be made

08 July 2010 A short and achievable link from Dandenong Creek, along Box St and Wattle Drive needs to solved. This would have huge benefits for relatively little effort and investment due to the existing network currently funnelling into this bottle neck.

With the recent upgrading of the Dandenong Creek path by Dandenong Council and the completion of the 36km EastLink path nearby, this missing link is all that is needed to see a continuous network from Berwick to the Bay Trail in Carrum and the soon to arrive Peninsula Link path to Mornington or Ringoood in the north and beyond to the CBD. Local schools would also benefit from this link being completed.

Council has investigated the route. All it needs is funding.
