Bicycle Network Victoria: Metro Routes

March 2010 Harding St has been assigned as a Priority Route on the revised Principle Bicycle Network . It serves as a good route between the Coburg Activity Centre and the Merri Creek.

As a more viable alternative to Bell St, riders should expect an improvement to this route with efforts such as a minimum of vibraline edge marking on the existing lanes and green at the intersections and conflict points. A fully separated route would be the preferred solution following the OHea St model, with lanes getting to and through the Sydney Rd intersection and potentially Napier-style lights at the crossing.
