Forrest - Birregurra "Tiger" Trail
The Forrest to Birregurra Rail Trail is a new trail that is gaining some momentum. Follow development progress here.
Tiger trail takes first steps
21 August 2009. The 30+ km Forrest - Birregurra 'Tiger' Rail Trail, the recent recipient of a $108,000 grant from the State Government, is taking its first baby steps.
The May 2009 funding announcement will deliver the initial 1.8km of Trail from Forrest to the Forrest recreation conserve, and connect the town to the mountain bike facilities in the area.
This is the first section of the Trail which is expected to run along the old railway corridor between Forrest and Birregurra, where it will meet the V/line train.
