Bicycle Network Victoria: Metro Routes

Bicycle Victoria pushed hard for a shared path connection which will be built as part of the project, although the connection to Dandenong is not ideal.

We previewed the path and road in June 2003 when the road was open for all but cars. We came across Bicycle Network Victoria Member Phillip Howard on our preview. Phillip was eager to use the new shared paths.

"They open up some great rides for me and my family," he said.

The path is mostly high quality with reasonable connections to surrounding parks and paths, but we had some concerns which we forwarded to VicRoads - see copy of email (right).
