Time of Remembrance 2010

10th annual Time of Remembering. A public memorial service and multi faith gathering for all those affected by injury or bereavement as a result of road trauma.

"So long as we live, they too shall live, for they are now a part of us, as we remember them."

Road Trauma Support Services invites you to remember those who have died, those who have been injured, and the impact on our community of road trauma.

Since 2001 Bicycle Network Victoria has joined with organisations such as the CFA, Epworth Hospital, Leaders of Faith Community Forum, Metropolitan Ambulance Service, Motorcycle Riders Association, Fire and Emergency Services, RACV, SES, TAC, Uniting Church Synod of Victoria and Tasmania, Victorian Council of Churches and Victoria Police in the 'Time of Remembrance' - a Public Memorial Service to remember those who have died and those who continue to suffer the impacts on our community of road trauma.

The day is held on the third Sunday of November in line with the resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly on 26 October 2005 to recognise the third Sunday in November of every year as the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, as an "appropriate acknowledgement for victims of road traffic crashes and their families". The Time of Remembrance is coordinated by the Road Trauma Support Team, a not for profit organisation that offers a free professional counselling service to anyone affected by road trauma.
