By Road:
Lilydale Station:
40 km from Melbourne via Eastern Fwy/Eastlink/Maroondah Hwy - 50 minutes
Mt. Evelyn:
Mt. Evelyn may be a more appropriate starting point until the Maroondah Highway Bridge in Lilydale is completed.
43 km from Melbourne via Eastern Fwy/Eastlink/Ringwood Bypass/Mt. Dandenong Road - 1 hour
Warburton:
78 km from Melbourne via Eastern Fwy/Warburton Hwy - 1 hour 38 minutes
By Rail:
Metlink/Connex Train to Lilydale Station on the suburban public transit network. Bicyles are allowed. Ride from the Station to the Northeast, past St. Patrick's Catholic School and around the diversion at Mt. Lilydale Mercy College.
The Maroondah Highway Bridge is now complete, allowing improved access to the whole trail from Lilydale Station
