Bicycle Network Victoria: Commercial Projects

Parliament House in Canberra is the latest government building to promote the benefits of bike riding by increasing their bike parking capacity.

In December 2007 Bicycle Network Victoria was excited to receive a bike parking order from a builder working on Parliament House in Canberra. This is not only great news for riders working at Parliament House, but hopefully a good sign for bike riders throughout Australia.

After discussing options with the bike parking staff the builder chose to install the Ned Kelly style rails as they maximised the number of bike parking spaces in the area provided.

So if you see Kevin Rudd riding to work in 2008 then you know it's probably because he now has somewhere to park his bike.
