Parking Haloes
About this page
Parking hoops meet a strong need for riders to have a place to securely lock up their bikes near their destination. This design helps to alleviate the potential for street-furniture clutter.
Parking haloes. Easy, compact and cost efficient
Apr 07 A new approach to a not-so-new idea has recently been seen (refer image right).
As bike parking hoops proliferate to meet the growing riders numbers, some stakeholders are occasssionally faced with the conundrum of where to fit them. Many streetscapes, particularly shopping strips or activity centres, are struggling to find space for all the various objects now often found on our pavements.
Utilising the existing poles and posts for a Bike Parking Halo makes it easy to not only meet a bike parking need but also uses less space. This approach doesn't require complicated installation (cutting and concreting in hoop) and is cost effective too.
