Pictures 1.1 - 8.0 illustrate the works as they progress, from Grattan to Queensberry St (inbound).
First the road was resheeted to provide a cycling-friendly surface.(pic 60)
Pic 1.1 shows the 1 metre wide curb being put in place.
Pic 3.1 shows riders still using the existing bikelane, no doubt curious as to what awaits them.
Pic 4 shows the curbs being filled with bitumen, providing the separation from where cars will soon park to the right of these islands.
Pic 5 shows that riders are now enjoying the benefits of the separation despite not being fully completed.
Pic 6 shows how green paint has been applied at all entry/exits.
