Transition to touring rides

The idea of 'Transition to Touring' rides came about after a survey of members was done by Melbourne Bicycle Touring Club.

Many club members wanted to move up to overnight bike touring but weren’t yet ready to go long distances while carrying lots of camping and cooking gear.

The club started running Transition to Touring rides which were weekend rides of about 50–70km a day.
