6. Call for Papers

Key Dates

• Open for Submissions: Monday 10 May.
• Closing date for receipt of abstracts: Tuesday 31 August
• Notifications of acceptance of papers will be ongoing – following review by the panel – but by Monday 6 September at the latest
• Power Point presentation due by: Thursday 30 September

 Presentations

Oral presentations will be scheduled in themes and will be delivered as addresses of 20 minutes with 5 minutes question time from the floor.

Guidelines for presentations

• Although many presentations utilise PowerPoint, its use is not a pre-requisite! We encourage presenters to consider alternative media such as film, pictures etc.
• Whichever medium you choose to use, there will be guidelines/advice on how to make the most effective use of your time on the podium.

Submission Conditions

• The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the Conference.
• Presenters of accepted abstracts are required to register for the Conference.
• By submitting this proposal you grant the organisers permission to publish the abstract (and final paper) in hard copy and electronic format. The organising committee's decision on acceptance of proposals will be final.
• Presenters are asked to reserve the Conference dates in their diaries until they receive notification of submission outcomes.

Application Process

• Abstract must be submitted in Word for Windows format, Arial 12 point font, 1.5 line spacing.
• Please ensure the title of your presentation is in capitals.
• An abstract must be no more than 400 words.
• Abstracts must be accompanied by presenter's biography in no more than 100 words.
• Please include all authors of the submission and their affiliations, indicating which of the authors will be presenting the paper.
• Abstract submissions to be made to the Conference Management Office via email - see details below.
• Acknowledgement of receipt of all abstracts will be made by email.
• Notification of abstracts accepted for presentation will be sent by email.
