Bicycle Victoria held a Board Election in 2008, as the number of positions was less than the number of candidates.
2008 Information
A call for nominations was placed in August Ride On and by 5pm on 19th September 2008, seven nominations had been received: Catherine James, David McPherson, Helen Millcer, Paul Geyer, Simon Crone, Robert Fatchen and Ross Kilborne. As there are more nominations than positions to be elected there was a ballot as provided by clause 32 of the Bicycle Victoria Constitution.
The results of the 2008 Board Election were officially announced at the Annual General Meeting, which was be held at 7pm on Monday 17 November 2008 at the Yarra Room, Melbourne Town Hall (cnr Swanston and Collins streets).
The Returning Officer declared Simon Crone, Helen Millicer and Catherine James elected as Members of the Bicycle Victoria Board for terms of three years.
