5 Voting in the Bicycle Victoria Board elections 2008 has closed

This page has the link to candidates statements in Blink, the Members only area and the Log In to the voting site.

The Bicycle Victoria Board Election closed 5pm 31 October 2008.

The election result will be announced at the 2008 Bicycle Victoria Annual General Meeting.

All family members over 18 can vote.

Each one will need to log in to Blink with their own Rider ID. To find out the other Rider IDs in your family, log in to Blink; go into About Me and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will see the other riders linked to your membership and their RIder ID.

To access the candidate statements and vote you have to enter Blink.

To log in you will need your membership number, which you can find on the top of emails such as In the loop or any postal mail we have sent you.
To vote, please log in to Blink below.

Once inside Blink you can click the link to vote.

Those members entitled to vote will be transferred to the Everyone Counts site to vote. The voting software and security is not part of Bicycle Victoria.

 

Election Information

Background to the election


■ The Bicycle Victoria Board has 9 positions.
■ Each year 3 of the 9 positions become vacant after their 3-year terms expire.
■ Positions held by Simon Crone, Ross Kilborn and Stuart Orr expire this year.
■ The remaining current Board members are Rick Barry, Liz Delbridge, David Larsen, David Levin QC, Janice Simpson and Ruth Paterson.

How many votes?


■ Members 18 years and over have one vote.
■ Each adult member in a family membership has separate votes.

Election information


■ 3 positions on the Bicycle Victoria Board become vacant this year.
■ A call for nominations was placed in August Ride On® and 7 nominations were received by the close of nominations at 5pm Friday 19 September 2008.
■ As the number of nominations exceeds the number of positions, a ballot is necessary.
■ See right for information on how to vote.
■ The results will be tallied by Everyone counts Inc, who are appointed by the returning officer for the election.
■ The 3 candidates with the most votes will be declared elected at the 2008 Annual General Meeting.
■ All current members over 18 years old as at 5pm Friday 19 September 2008 are eligible to vote.

How to vote


■ You can vote for up to 3 candidates.
■ Refer to the detailed statements in Blink (Members only area on www.bv.com.au).

Step 1: Login into Blink (Members only area)


■ You need to log on to the members only area on www.bv.com.au to vote.
■ Adult members as at 5pm 19.9.08 are eligible to vote. Family memberships with multiple adult members will need to logon separately.
■ Read the extended candidate statements and decide who you will vote for.
■ Click on the “Vote Online" link and correctly answer the security question. You will be directed to a secure section of the everyone counts website to register your vote.

Step 2: Decide who to vote for


■ Once presented with the 2008 ballot for the 2008 Board election. You will be able to review information about each candidate by clicking a link next to their name.
■ You then click “Continue” and you will be shown a summary of your choices. At this time you can go “Back” to change your choice or you can “Submit”.
■ If you do not submit your vote, or you have only logged in to look at the ballot you will be permitted to log in
again and submit a vote.
■ Once you have submitted you cannot access the ballot again.
