Each year three of the nine Bicycle Victoria Board positions fall vacant after the three-year terms expire. In 2010, due to the resignations of a board member, a further position with one year remaining is also vacant.

4 Nominating in 2010

Valid nominations must be received by 5pm 17 September 2010 at Bicycle Victoria.

5 Election

This section will be updated for 2010 when data is available. There were 7 candidates for the 2009 board election. Ruth Paterson, Eytan Lenko and Tony Maughan were elected for three year terms and Jeremy Brand was elected for a one year term.

6. Candidate Statements for the 2009 Board Election

7 Electioneering regulation

The Board has passed a regulation that applies to all candidates in Bicycle Victoria Board elections. Failure to follow these rules could result in a candidate being disqualified.

8 Returning Officer

Bicycle Victoria appoints a returning officer to oversee Board elections.

Timetable

4 positions on the Bicycle Victoria board became vacant this year.

At the 2010 Annual General Meeting the 3 candidates with the most votes will be declared elected for the 3 year terms and the candidate with the fourth highest vote will be declared elected until 2011 and published on the website on Tuesday 16 November 2010.
