Event Development Manager

Bicycle Victoria is one of Australia’s best kept secrets. It is fast paced, outcome driven and has a great culture. It has grown rapidly through behaviour change programs and a 45,000 strong membership base. Bicycle Victoria is also responsible for large scale events including, Around the Bay in a Day, the Great Victorian Bike Ride and 3 Peaks Challenge.
In this pivotal position, reporting to the General Manager ‑ Events, your goal is to develop Bicycle Victoria’s events in order to generate net surplus, momentum and support.
Key responsibilities include strategic planning, evaluating and developing events, and managing high level relationships.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven ability to manage projects and get outcomes
- Build relationships and be able to analyse performance in an environment of continuing learning and improvement
- Manage multiple priorities with conflicting timelines.

In this fantastic role you’ll report to the Corporate Relationships Manager. You’ll shape and drive the Ride to Work program, run the highly successful National Ride to Work Day and work with businesses all year to get their staff moving.
The ideal candidate will:
- Ideally have previous experience in behaviour change programs, ideally with community based social marketing expertise
- Effectively communicate and liaise with stakeholders and the community
- Possess the drive and commitment to see the program reach it’s full potential
- Have demonstrated real success in project management delivery.
